I knew I had the right qualifications to get a great finance job, but I also knew that I had to sell myself. If I had a boring CV, then chances are that it would end up either at the bottom of the pile or in the rubbish bin. I had never written one before, so I decided to go online and find a great guide to writing the best CV. I found that and so much more when I did my online search for help because it also led me to a recruitment agency where I was able to find a few more dream jobs that I wanted to send one of my CV letters to.
First though, I had to make sure that it was going to stand out so I would be given the chance to prove why I am definitely the best choice for the job. I was able to find some great tips on the site I looked at, and I am convinced that it is what got me in the door to the job where I am now working full time. Without a great CV, I just don’t know that I would be here.
The first thing I had to do was create a format for my CV. I looked at different ways it was done, and I picked out the one that stood out the most to me. I put my necessary information at the top, then I focused on the sections where I sold myself. Doing the educational and experience sections was easy, but I believe it was the section where I listed my skills and what I have accomplished already that got me in the door to sell myself in person. I am so thankful for the help I received in order to be where I am today!
